AGDANGAN, Quezon – A 56-year-old driver was killed and 10 people were injured when his van hit a backhoe in Barangay Sildora before dawn on Sunday, October 29.

Police identified the deceased as “Alfredo” of Barangay Muliguin, Unisan, Quezon.
Passengers Alfredo Abelba, 27, were injured; Dave Adrenal, 23; Robert Adrenal, 27; Raquel Adrenal; Noel Oballa, 44; George Rebilla, Jericho Ajiba, Erwin Ajila, 46; Alfredo Abellada, 28, from Darwin Asia.
Police said the van with registration number USO-656 was heading towards Unisan when it crashed into the backhoe parked unattended on the road.
Alfredo and his passengers were taken to Unisan Community Medicare Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
