The survey associated with builders and contractors (ABC) for February reported a decline rate of 8.3 months, less than 8.4 months in January. The indicator has increased 0.2 from the grade of February 8, 20, 2024.
“Although many other economic feelings have deteriorated in recent months, contractors are still optimistic that business conditions improve during the first half of 2025,” Anirban Basu, an ABC chief economist.
Generally, Backlog has fallen into contractors with less than $ 100 million in annual income, while increasing for those with annual income of more than $ 100 million. Regionally, the southern and northern backwards -east were raised in February, while the setbacks of the western and medium states decreased.
ABC’s confidence index for February increased slightly in the staff column, while a small amount fell. “Almost 60% of contractors are intended to increase staff levels over the next six months, the highest share in more than two years,” said Basu. “These hiring expectations suggest that the recent slowdown of employment throughout the industry is largely limited to the residential segment.”
