Transforming the interior and exterior of this store on Rodeo Drive required real-time problem solving, coordination and flexibility in every phase.
After demolition began in January 2024, the team had to temporarily halt progress to integrate a series of client-driven design evolutions that ultimately affected both schedule and budget.
From structural elements to interior finishes, these changes required a flexible and solution-oriented approach from the field and project management teams. Sourcing special materials, such as hand-applied plaster finishes by a New York craftsman and ceramic pedestals from Spain, required advance purchasing, international coordination and active follow-up to avoid further delays.
A custom sculptural trellis facade was assembled on site from nine sections. This exterior feature was designed to mimic the ceramic texture while adapting to the curvature and proportions of the building’s architecture.
Its precision installation required early planning, mock-ups and field adjustments. Inside are curved walls finished with hand-applied ribbed plaster. Custom marble staircases were installed to exact specifications, connecting the three floors.
