QUINCY – A Quincy man was transported to Blessing Hospital Thursday when a backhoe he was driving went into a ditch.

Adams County Sheriff’s Department deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash near 5205 W. St. Anthony Road. A Case Extendahoe 590 Super N, driven by Rogelio Mendez Gomez, 31, was eastbound on W. St. Anthony Road at approximately 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, when he lost control and rolled the backhoe into a ditch on the north side of the road.

Gomez suffered minor injuries. The backhoe was towed. Traffic was reduced to one lane while the vehicle was removed.
