With so many different uses for Volvo wheel loaders, we’ve developed application packages that help simplify getting the features you need for your specific type of work. When you select a package, your specially tailored wheel loader comes with the right options, tires and accessories for maximum safety and performance.
Each machine ordered with an application package includes a sticker from our factory (shown above) so you know it has the right equipment for your specific jobs. Here are the Volvo wheel loader application packages we currently offer.
AGRICULTURE
Using our decades of experience working with farmers, we’ve designed a wheel loader that increases productivity in all-day agricultural applications such as landscaping, irrigation, livestock and crop production.
Volvo ag loaders include features like a third hydraulic function that allows the use of hydraulic attachments for added versatility and an attachment holder that lets you switch between attachments in seconds. A torque-parallel linkage system provides high lifting, pitching and lifting forces, and the parallel movement contributes to greater load stability. A fast travel speed also helps you navigate your farm efficiently.
The loaders in this package also come with agricultural tires (depending on your region) which are essential for maneuvering in difficult agricultural terrain conditions.

MANIPULATION OF BLOCKS
From lifting and transporting heavy blocks all day to wet, steep and rocky terrain, Volvo block handling loaders have been adapted to deliver maximum performance in tough conditions. As an example, the machine frame, lift arm mechanism and tires are designed to absorb high load stresses. In addition, the optimized counterweight, lift cylinders and Volvo powertrain combine to deliver superior tipping load capacity, great traction and excellent traction.
You can also get a heavy-duty configuration on the L350H that allows it to safely and consistently haul blocks up to 55 tons (for reference, the tires available from our factory are approved for a 42-ton workload).

REMODELING
The Volvo Wheel Loader Handling Package focuses on efficiency and productivity by offering the right buckets for handling, storing and loading sand, gravel and aggregates. They are ideal for open pits, quarries and a variety of industrial applications. The included handling counterweight maintains stability without reducing ground clearance or exit angle so you can choose the best bucket for the job. Other available options focus on filtration for dusty environments and traction due to soft ground conditions.

LOAD OF ROCKS
Every detail of a Volvo rock loader’s design is geared towards delivering maximum productivity so you can fill the bucket as quickly and efficiently as possible. In addition, the optimized weight distribution provides excellent machine stability and, combined with the ultra-strong Z-bar linkage, you get the highest levels of breaking strength. When entering the pile, traction control provides excellent traction, minimizing wheel spin and reducing tire wear.
We also offer a range of rock buckets that have a high fill factor for fast cycle times and maximum productivity. Wear parts and the Volvo tooth system make the shovel nose, straight edge and side dump rock buckets even more durable and efficient.

REGISTRATION CHARGE
Volvo log loaders come with a range of clamps and safety options designed by Volvo, offering a complete solution for timber handling. The even weight distribution, cutting counterweight and low ground pressure of the wide, low-profile tires provide exceptional stability, traction and tipping load.
This is supported by the Torque Parallel linkage system (L60H-L220H) which ensures parallel movement and optimizes lifting, breaking and deployment forces in the top position, helping to stack heavy loads at high heights. On the L350H, the Z-bar lift arm allows you to efficiently handle loads weighing up to around 25 tonnes.
These loaders are also highly maneuverable with a short overhang making it the perfect machine for quickly and easily negotiating timber yards and confined areas.

WASTE HANDLING
Volvo waste handlers are configured to deliver excellent results in waste management and recycling facilities. Strategically placed and well-protected components such as cab and engine pre-cleaners, comprehensive protection, shortened steps and removed front fenders keep these machines running longer. The optional long boom makes easy work of loading tall trucks and stacking tall piles while keeping the machine’s tires clear of hazardous materials.

HANDLING OF RAILWAYS
The Volvo Wheel Loader Scrap Package focuses on durability, performance and preventative protection for the operator and loaders, providing all-around machine guards, cab and engine pre-cleaners, solid tires, a long boom option and more. And with Volvo buckets and attachments, these loaders perform at their best, while reliability features ensure 24/7 operation.

HANDLING OF SLAG AND HOT SLAG
Steel mills are some of the harshest environments for both machines and operators, with conditions including extreme heat, toxic fumes and heavy dust. With an uninterrupted production process, unplanned downtime is not only costly, but can also be dangerous for operators.
Volvo slag handlers are customized to protect against excessive heat radiation, with specially adapted components designed to ensure maximum machine strength and reliability. Features that reduce wear and increase component life include heat-resistant fuel and oil lines, fire protection material throughout, extensive protection, plus protection against slag explosions, falling objects and windblown debris.
