Located on the 20th and 21st floors of a high-rise in downtown Los Angeles, this comprehensive interior renovation created a modern workspace that integrates adaptability and functionality, with an interconnecting staircase on the two central floors for the new design.
The office layout helps the owner align their teams that were previously spread over several floors of another tower. With a mix of open concept areas and private workspaces, the project offers a flexible environment suited to modern working styles.
Initial permitting delays caused the team to reevaluate the schedule and implement fine adjustments to stay on schedule. Coordination of work between multiple design firms and constant communication between all teams ensured cohesive designs throughout the space.
The original specifications did not account for the increased wind load on the north side of the building, so the design team redesigned the window system, increasing the glass sections and specifying new frames to meet the structural demands.
