
Balfour Beatty will rebuild a part of interstate 30 through Dallas by means of a contract of $ 889 million with the Texas Department of Transportation, The firm announced on April 24.
The project will add six general purpose lanes through a 2.3 mile section of interest in achieving total to 12, with the aim of improving connectivity and reducing congestion throughout the city. The preconstruction is underway. The construction will begin in 2026, starting a five -year construction period.
The I-30 project will also build nine crossings to connect the Interstate with the South Gate, the lowest STMMONS I-35E and the Horseshoe, all Balfour Beatty projects completed with Txdot in the last five years.
Lee Quinn, CEO Balfour Beatty Group, says that in the statement that the firm has decades of experience working on complex road projects in Dallas and the contract “marks an important milestone in the 30 -year collaboration of Balfour Beatty” with Txdot.
Balfour Beatty also works with Txdot in a $ 746 million contract awarded in November 2024 to rebuild part of Interstate 35 in Austin. The project will rebuild about two and a half kilometers from the I-35 on the south side of the center of Austin to provide eight general purpose lanes, a new intersection and updated access roads.
A new bridge will be built through the barge through the Lady Bird Lake 416 hectares to replace an existing bridge built in 1956. Construction begins in the first half of this year and is expected to be fulfilled in 2033.
