Managing the construction of new pedestrian and cyclists on the water of Manhattan did not cause a shortage of challenges, the project team said. Access to the workplace was limited, so many construction materials had to be delivered by Barges, while the concrete was pumped to long distances to reach adequate access points.
The GPS follow-up was deployed to control the locations of the construction boat and the state in real time, improving safety by means of default geo-nones and alerts of triggering. Timelapse cameras and underwater drones equipped with cameras and sensors improved the security and programming of the project documenting progress, supervising the work environment and inspecting the submerged structures for any defect.
The Covid-19 Pandemic was added to the complexity of the project, but the team said that the commitment and collaboration between engineers, architects, landscape architects and subcontractors helped members find the methods to offer work to their precise specifications.
Alta on the East River, the green road of the east city of the East serves as an alternative route for pedestrians, with more than seven blocks of the city of roads and bicycles. The project was completed two weeks before the projected completion date, incorporating design and scope solutions along the road, such as sloping pavements and trenches draining along the greenway that capture and filter rainwater as a irrigation system for vegetable life along the path.
The greenway was also designed to withstand floods and increased sea level.
