The Federal Administration of the road on the United States Transport Road modified two funding notices for the bridge subsidy on June 2 to eliminate the added requirements under the Biden administration that do not coincide with the objectives of the Trump administration. There are almost $ 4.9 billion available for main bridge projects and $ 500 million available for repairing and replacement projects on the rural bridge.

The modifications are aimed at climate change, environmental justice, Dei and the development requirements of the labor, including the use of Disaded business companiesthe latter Dot’s lawyers recently requested that a judge blocked the agency as part of an agreement proposed to a lawsuit filed by two contractors.

“The previous administration delivered the critical infrastructure funding requirements to arouse DEI and Green New Scam initiatives, which diverted the Department’s main mission resources,” said Secretary of North -American Transportation, Sean Duffy, in a statement.

Modifications affect FHWA’s Great bridge subsidies and is Competitive Program of the Pont de les Carreteres. Applicants who are already in consideration must send additional materials that respond to updated warnings. The deadline for the current funding round is August 1 for the Pont Gran applications and November 1 for other bridge projects.

The movement follows a executive order President Donald Trump issued in February, which led the heads of the agency to review their contracts and aid, and to terminate or modify them as needed to reduce costs and move forward in administration policies. It also comes when dot officials have been working through a Backlog of subsidies That Duffy said before they were granted, but he never was forced. Dot has been eliminating the similar requirements in the Biden era before the end of the subsidy agreements, according to Duffy.

Road repairs and bridge

Dot also recently announced $ 1.5 billion in federal emergency funding in the States and territories for road and bridge repair projects, including $ 683 million to repair last year’s Hurricane Hurricane Hurricane in North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina, Florida and Georgia.

“As we continue to provide disaster relief, we remain firm in our commitment to provide the necessary federal resources until all road transport links are restored,” said Federal Road Chief Minister Jay Payne in a statement.
