For more than a dozen years, ENR’s Global Best Projects Awards have recruited industry experts to review a wide range of submitted projects from around the world.
This year, the judges selected for recognition 32 projects located in 24 countries, among 95 submissions, that are exemplary examples of innovation, quality and obstacles overcome in global design and construction.
While some of these projects have been written about before in the pages of ENR or online, most are being highlighted for the first time.
Reviewing entries across many market sectors, judges looked at engineering and construction challenges, benefits to local communities and industry, as well as dedication to safety and the environment. Special emphasis was placed on teamwork and collaboration.
For the Project of the Year finalists, ENR judges and editors chose three intriguing entries, with Limberlost Place in Toronto taking the top prize.
More information on the following pages about the winning projects, which were also recognized in a virtual awards program available at www.globalbestprojects.com.
