The developer of a luxury waterfront condo development in Florida has selected a general contractor for its next phase of construction.
Tampa, Fla.-based Coastal Construction will lead pre-construction planning for the next portion of Marina Pointe, a three-tower development in Tampa developed by Fort Lauderdale-based BTI Partners, according to a news release.
New York City-based Plaza Construction built the first tower of the urbanization in the Westshore Marina District, which was completed in May 2023, according to Commercial Construction and Renovation Magazine.
Construction on the second tower will begin later this year and will include 151 new luxury condos ranging from 1,100 to 3,300 square feet. It will also feature seven 3,300-square-foot single-family “Harbor Homes.”
Marina Pointe is the centerpiece of the 52-acre Westshore Marina District, located on a private peninsula. The development includes shops, restaurants, trails, boats and water sports. Other amenities will include a full-service marina, a fitness center, resort-style pools, an entertainment room and a virtual golf simulator.
Founded in 1988, Coastal Construction is a fifth generation family business. The contractor specializes in high-end properties such as condos, resort towers and luxury homes. Its portfolio includes more than 10,000 residential units and 50 hotels.
