Fortis Construction, an international contractor based in Portland, Oregon, has appointed Andrea Weisheimer as Presidentaccording to a January 28 announcement.

Weisheimer will focus on national growth in the new role, supporting expansion across the company’s geographic markets division and advancing client relationships.

Prior to his arrival at Fortis, Weisheimer spent more than two decades in the construction industry. His resume includes work for Redwood City, California-based DPR Construction, San Francisco-based Webcor Builders and Seattle-based Lease Crutcher Lewis. Most recently, Weisheimer served as DPR’s national EHS integrations and operations leader, according to his LinkedIn.

“For the past five plus years [Fortis has] been growing, but more importantly, growing with intention. As we look to expand into new regions and deepen our partnerships across the country, we have an opportunity to amplify the impact our teams are already having,” Weisheimer told Construction Dive via email.

In addition to its Portland location, the company opened an office in Draper, Utahin 2024, and maintains an additional presence in Singapore. The company reported international revenue of $516 million in 2024, earning it No. 13 on ENR’s list of contractors working abroad.

Fortis develops projects in the education, healthcare and data center construction markets, according to its website. Some of its projects include the PDX01 data center project in Forest Grove, Oregon, and a data center campus for Meta in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
