Megibben, who does not see the construction industry in Louisville, according to Megibben, does not see that the construction industry is not reduced in Louisville.
Megibben indicates the impact of health care on contributing to growth, citing two new projects: the Science Simulation Center of the University of Louisville and the Center for Collaboration and the Pediatric Norton Village.
Messer is responsible for the construction of the Collaboration Center of $ 280 million to strengthen the university’s capacity for healthcare education. The seven -story structure is scheduled for the University Health Sciences Center in the center of Louisville. It will double the size of the nursing class, provide a collaborative space where health professionals, students, researchers and educators can train together and encourage interprofessional learning.
Downtown Louisville is the central point of efforts of Louisville Downtown’s non -profit collaboration to revitalize the city and create an economic catalyst that will benefit the entire metropolitan area.
By 2024, collaboration published its ten -year vision on the center area, which describes three basic initiatives to maintain the vitality of the area. They are: activate the city center strengthening and supporting the districts of the center and expanding the attractions; Strengthen the center as a residential neighborhood defending conversion incentives to develop residential opportunities and services on the city center edges; and improve the public kingdom by creating strategic placema initiatives, prioritizing the streets that respect pedestrians and activating and connecting underused spaces.
Outside the city center, Norton Children’s, a Louisville -based pediatric health care system, announced plans in June to build a billionaire pediatric care campus that will include a full service hospital for children with complex medical needs. The Hospital will include extensive specialized research and specialized services facilities.
Messer Construction is expanding the House of the Innocents, a non -profit based in Louisville, who is careful of young and young adults.

The new campus will be located in more than 150 hectares near the intersection of the interesting 64 and 265 in Jefferson County. The site will be developed in phases, based on the construction of the Pediatric Hospital of Full Service. Future plans include attention to behavior and mental health.
Another big recent project is the expansion and renewal of $ 460 million from the Kentucky Exposition Center. The first phase of the work will deliver a 350,000 -feet multipurpose installation designed to accommodate livestock competitions, equine events, sports tournaments, fairs and conventions.

Louisville International Airport Muhammad Ali (SDF) plans to see more than $ 1 billion in investment as part of the SDF Next program, which covers efforts to improve continuous capital for both the terminal and the airport.
While these projects indicate an active construction scene, the challenges abound, including shortage of labor, higher costs and high interest rates.
“Labor shortages will always be a factor,” says Megibben. “We see more engineering, trades and support services in Louisville in the future. Companies recognize Louisville’s prosperous economy and attracts national talent to all industries.”
Megibben says the owners’ budgets have not necessarily adjusted to the reality of increasing costs.
“That is why we argue that customers can involve their construction partner before,” he says. “And why it is important from the point of view of the ability to have a strong network of high quality subcontractors and our own talented self -sufficiency team.”
