“Market conditions in Fargo are decent, not overpowered or sluggish,” says Hanson. “Fargo, being the largest community in the state, has a diverse economy, which brings a diverse need for diverse construction projects in diverse areas: vertical, horizontal. [road/bridge], water and flood protection. all [of these sectors] We’ll see activity again this season.”

The area’s strengths include strong population growth and adequate funding. In addition, the economy is diverse, with agriculture, higher education and business contributing significantly to the local economy, Hanson explains. “This variety helps the market stay consistent and helps avoid the ups and downs that other communities experience,” he adds.

“Key area projects include the continuation of the Fargo-Moorhead bypass, which is a multi-year, multi-million dollar project. Hector Airport will add a much-needed terminal expansion and build a parking ramp, which is a necessary given our climate. In the private sector, Bell Bank is building a large project for its headquarters,” he says.
