Local News: McCook Police Search for Owner of Abandoned Backhoe (7/15/24)

McCook Police Department

McCook, Neb. – The McCook Police Department has issued a public notice regarding an abandoned backhoe discovered within the city limits. Authorities are currently trying to locate the owner of the heavy machinery.

The backhoe, which was found in a vacant lot, appears to have been left unattended for an unspecified amount of time. Sergeant Vargas of the McCook Police Department is leading efforts to identify and contact the owner.

Police are looking for any information that could help us reunite this backhoe with its rightful owner, Vargas said. Anyone who owns this equipment or has information about who could contact the McCook Police Department as soon as possible.
