Builder Lovell Homes has announced two high profile appointments in the North West.
The firm, part of the £3.6bn Morgan Sindall Group, has promoted John Roach to head of operations in the region.
It also revealed that Paul Challinor was joining from rival builder Stewart Milne to become managing director in the North West.
Roach began his journey with the company as a management trainee in 2008 and progressed through the ranks to become a contract manager before this latest step.
He said: “It’s always been a goal of mine to reach this milestone, and I’ve been very lucky to have the support and guidance of the teams around me. For those currently starting out as apprentices, we hope this shows the that is possible
“I have a big job to do as chief operating officer, and my immediate priority is to meet the year-end forecast and the agenda set by Lovell for the coming years. There is a lot of potential in this region and I will be very focused on quality and customer satisfaction.”
Challinor, who has also worked for Morris Homes, MyTravel and Thomas Cook, said the North West was a “highly competitive region for house building and building”.
He added: “Lovell is uniquely positioned as an established housebuilder and delivery partner for major joint venture projects, with the in-house knowledge and experience to take advantage of any opportunities that arise.
“Taking the helm of this growing region was a fantastic opportunity that I was thrilled to accept.”
Challinor added that Roach had “consistently tested his strengths and experience in working with all departments to move up the ranks”.
“I am delighted to have the opportunity to work closely with someone who is clearly very dedicated and very talented,” he added. “We have many exciting projects in the pipeline, working on important collaborations that I know John will ensure are delivered to the highest possible standard.”
