RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – A man is injured after he was working at a construction site in Richmond and was thrown into a ditch by a backhoe.
At 3:09 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, Richmond Police Department officers responded to the intersection of East 21st Street and Ingram Avenue in the city’s south to assist crews with Richmond Fire and EMS.
When officers arrived, they found a man on the job who had been injured after a backhoe – a type of digging equipment – had hit him and thrown him into a ditch.
Richmond Fire and EMS rescued the man, after which he was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
