Under a strong supervision of more than 80 Hyundai chief executive, the project team delivered two manufacturing facilities that will produce action systems for Hyundai EV cars built in Georgia and Alabama. The team faced cultural differences and the language barriers working with a southern Korea company. Hyundai emphasized the hierarchy, with many decisions made in Korea and then communicated to the staff at the site.
Hyundai emphasized completing the project before planned with an emphasis on high standards. To meet expectations, the team performed some atypical sequence tasks. For example, the crews poured concrete slabs after steel emerging, the roof was complete and the wall panels were 90% complete.
For the slab in the construction of degrees, the equipment used a mixture of reinforced steel fiber, armor boards and a color shake hardening. The mixture of reinforced steel fiber reduced the amount of receipt necessary for the installation of the slabs. By incorporating the fiber mixture, the equipment could streamline the calendar, reducing the time spent on the installation and receiving inspections. The edges of the armor increased the durability and longevity of the joints. A color hardening on the slab increased concrete traction resistance and reducing dust accumulation.
The fast tracking project ended below the budget with 90% of the work completed in just nine months. Early completion allowed the plant to begin preliminary manufacturing three months earlier than expected.
