Located on an 18 -hectare barrier island, the project of about 1.1 million square meters required a thorough planning to navigate the environmental regulations and logistics restrictions. The project team adhered to strict regulations of the coastal construction control line, sailed to the transport logistics of more than 700 employees in the site and obtained premium materials from international suppliers.
The proximity of the project to the coastline required a thorough protection of the nesting places of the turtles. In addition, the regulations required the team to excavate the beach quality sand from the east side and move it to the west as long as it would matter inner sand for the remaining areas.
To transport labor to the site, Moss implemented a shuttle system from a parking lot 4.5 kilometers away, minimizing the interruption of local residents.
Moss did not do any automatic operation in the project and instead dedicated local contractors, which maximized regional economic benefits. In dividing the main shops between various subcontractors, Moss created competition and opportunities for local companies to get contracts in concrete, dry wall, painting and lands.
The project of St. Regis required to cover some materials, such as the stone of European quarries, for the outer facade. Although it faced changes in scope and logistical obstacles, the team fulfilled the 28 -month calendar, guaranteeing the execution of luxury development of $ 376 million that complied with the St. Record.
