Landwehr Construction, based in St. Cloud, Minnesota, has been elevated Pat Herron to the vice president of its crane group. Since 2014, he has held various leadership roles, helping to expand the company and integrate operations since its 2024 acquisition of Jerke Construction, a Sioux Falls, SD-based crane service provider. Herron began construction in 2001 as a heavy equipment operator.

Des Moines-based Weitz Co. has promoted Andy Gardner to the vice president overseeing the preconstruction project teams of its commercial and mission-critical divisions. A 25-year employee, he has overseen Iowa projects including the Iowa Events Center, Prairie Meadows Casino and the QTS Data Center. It now leads preconstruction on more than $2.8 billion in U.S. data center projects, the company said.
Chris Hawn has joined SM Wilson & Co., St. Louis as vice president of retail construction to lead the national expansion of the company’s retail division, focusing on multi-site programs, remodels, tenant builds and start-up construction, the firm said. He had been a retail construction manager at Place Services Inc. and vice president of business development for stores at Charter Communications.
Chicago commercial contractor McHugh Construction Co. has elevated four managers of the company. Jeanne Bartelsan 18-year veteran, is promoted to project executive from senior project manager. Now he’s overseeing preconstruction at 1325 West Fulton Street, the first of three towers in a mixed-use block development in the city’s West Loop. The firm also promoted Kyle Jennings i Michael Sinickas to project manager, both had been assistant project managers. Kasey Bethea has been promoted to assistant superintendent of project engineering and is now working on the Fifth Third Arena expansion project.
Robert Bakerowner and president of LSI Group LLC, Logansport, Ind., a major U.S. manufacturer of standing-seam metal roofing clips and retrofit components used in the commercial metal roofing market, is joining Worthington Enterprises Inc., a Columbus, Ohio-based consumer and building products manufacturer, in an unspecified leadership role, the companies said. The new position will follow the expected completion in January of LSI’s $205 million purchase of Worthington, which has two manufacturing locations in Logansport, where it was founded in 1968.
