ATRAK GOLD AGE

Amtrak continues to prepare for more pilots and more modern trains, adding three design projects in the northeastern hallway to a program of modernization of railway gardens of thousands of dollars. The agency says it will improve the reliability of the service and will facilitate safer and more efficient maintenance operations.

Funded by the Investment and Infrastructure jobs Law, concurrent modernizations will provide facilities and infrastructure to improve maintenance efficiencies and reduce change times during repairs and inspections, such as amtrak transitions to new trains trains, Nextgen Acela Acela Acela Trains of speed, which began the service throughout the NEC this summer and double electricity electricity and double electricity power. Diesel Airo Airo Trains Airo, established to begin the service of the following year. Amtrak has also begun the process of updating its 40 -year -old trains.

To the Sunnyside Yard of Amrak on Long Island City, a joint company of Peter Scalamandre & Sons Inc. and Citnalta Construction Corp. They will design and build an installation of maintenance and inspection of two tracks, and six cleaning slopes and new cleansers with a canopy coverage. The $ 1.3 million project also includes consolidate curator, employee work space, storage of materials and parking in a single location inside the courtyard; bring 11 service platforms existing to a state of good repair; and other infrastructure updates such as reconfiguring two main interlocutors and clues that connect the patio to the NEC.

In Washington, DC, Ivy City Yard, Amtrak City is scheduled for a $ 705 million update for the joint company of Clark Construction Co. and Herzog Contracting Corp. According to STV, the team’s lead designer, the five -year project includes demolishing and replacing portions of the primary maintenance structure in the garden, building a train service facility of 150,000 SQ service courts. The structures built in the mid -1980’s will be rebuilt with high roofs to allow more space for machinery and the addition of a catenary system, while providing a safer environment for workers below, inside and on top of trains.

In addition, new Airo trains fuel stations at IVY City Yard will reduce the amount of time needed to move from NEC electrified service to non -electrified routes in southern Washington.

For Southampton Yard de Boston, a joint new english and Railroad Construction Company SPS company will supervise a $ 583 million update that includes the construction of a two -track maintenance and inspection installation and the reform of the regional installation installation and inspection of two tracks existing on a two -track service and a cleaning installation. Other two modernization efforts of the Amtrak Railway Garden started last year. Around Penn Coach Yard in Philadelphia, Herzog took place in October in a $ 462 million design creation project, which includes a heavy 350,000 -feet heavy maintenance installation that consolidates multiple functions currently scattered. The features include an inspection and maintenance installation of two bays with inspection pits, fall table and fuel tablets, as well as two adjacent cleaning and cleaning courts. Scheduled for completion in 2027, the project also adds a direct fixation court to the maintenance and service areas, replacement of catenary structures, new withholding walls and storage buildings and utility transfers.

In Seattle, PCL Construction Services Inc., started working last summer with a $ 300 million update at King Street Yard. According to the agency, battery driving and mass excavation will be completed by the end of this year for a pre-designed maintenance installation of about 100,000 square meters. The project is scheduled for completion in 2027, shortly after Amtrak introduces the Airo trains on its Portland-Seattle-Vancouver route, BC.

Amtrak claims that a sixth railway modernization project in Amtrak’s Rensselaer-Albany, NY, Rail Yard is in the concepts planning phase, with the aim of providing two maintenance and inspection courts and three service and cleaning courts. Amtrak hopes to award a project design contract this fall.
