Morgan Sindall has secured a key role in a £70m refurbishment of a town center in Lancashire.
The UK’s second largest contractor by turnover has been appointed to deliver the first works on the Accrington Town Square scheme.
Hyndburn Borough Council is transforming three important buildings in the borough: Market Hall, Market Chambers and Burton Chambers.
With the help of leveling central government funding, the scheme will create a dining, working and cultural space in the heart of Accrington.
Morgan Sindall will begin enabling works imminently to prepare the site for major redevelopment works to begin next year.
The firm was appointed using a Scape construction framework and said it would maintain a focus on social value and sustainability throughout the project.
