Lovell Partnerships has won the contract to deliver a £50m development in Ilford, London.
Redbridge Council awarded the contract for the Loxford Lane development to the residential construction company, which is a subsidiary of the Morgan Sindall Group.
The work will consist of the construction of multi-family buildings and individual homes. The development consists of 159 homes distributed in four buildings with flats and 17 terraced houses.
Lovell Partnerships will build the full scheme, including site infrastructure works and landscaping.
The site is on the corner of Ilford’s Loxford Lane and South Park Drive. Planning consent has been granted for the new homes, along with landscaping and drainage improvements along South Park Drive.
Demolition company DDS Demolition has started work to demolish the existing buildings on the site. Completion is scheduled for June 2023 and construction is expected to begin in the fall of 2023, with completion planned for the fall of 2025.
Most construction waste will be taken to an authorized waste processing plant, where it will be processed, recycled and sold back to the construction industry. Redbridge Council aims to achieve a 97 per cent recycling rate of waste from the site. A portion of the structural derivatives will remain on site for processing and will be reused within any future development program.
