Leslie Duke

Leslie Duke is the new CEO of Burns & McDonnell. She succeeds Ray Kowalik, who has retired after 36 years with the firm. Duke had been regional president and general manager of its South Central region.

Reynolds, Smith & Hill has promoted Brendan Carroll to Colorado’s transportation market leader. Based in Denver, he previously served as the leader of the water resources group. Recognized as ENR 2023’s Best Young Professional, he has led multiple projects for the City of Boulder and the Colorado Department of Transportation.

Catamount Constructors has hired Jared Ford as president of its rental construction and multi-family sector operation. With two decades in the industry, its experience includes projects totaling $7.25 billion, the firm says. Elaine Kanelos has also joined Catamount as vice president of national business development.

Brad Jeanneret has been named president and chief operating officer of contractor Hensel Phelps of Greeley, Colo. He was its executive vice president. Mike Choutka continues as president and CEO. Brandon Agnell he was promoted to director of operations. He has completed more than $3.2 billion worth of projects over a 23-year career and is working on a Meta data center project in Kuna, Idaho.

Jack Tate

Jack Tate he is now president and CEO of the Associated Builders and Contractors Rocky Mountain chapter, which says it has more than 100 merit shop members in Colorado and Wyoming. He served as a Colorado state senator and state representative and led nonprofit and for-profit organizations.

BBG Construction Law, a unit of the law firm Beltzer Bangert & Gunnell LLP in Greenwood Village, Colo., has been promoted. Djenita Svinjar make a couple She is a board director for the Denver chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction and the law committee of the Colorado Supreme Court Board of Law Examiners. Michael Zehner he has also been promoted to partner in the firm. Primarily a litigator, he is president of the Colorado Contractors Association Associates Council and teaches a graduate course on legal aspects of construction at the University of Colorado-Boulder.

Ryan Balakas

Ryan Balakas was promoted to vice president and general manager of Saunders Commercial Construction LLC, Denver. A 17-year veteran, he expanded his Express Services and Norwood Construction units. Dale SchneiderCEO of Express Services, now holds the same role at Saunders Concrete Structures LLC. Derek Breyer, Nathan Wilks i Allan Williams have been promoted to newly created area director roles for three regions in Colorado. Curtis Underwood i Sean Jackson have been elevated to construction manager and general superintendent, respectively, and Matt Johnson joins the company in the latter role.

Parametrix has hired Kip Davidson as a senior engineer in its Boise-based transportation group. He was a project manager and project engineer at professional services firm Horrocks, working as manager of the reconstruction of I-84 in Caldwell, Idaho. Davidson is past president of the Southern Idaho Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Anita Johnson i Brent Johnson have joined LRE Water, Denver, as head of its new mining services group in Golden, Colo., following the company’s acquisition of HydroGeoLogica Inc., which they owned. That company is a global consultancy focused on mine water and waste management, says LRE Water, a unit of Spheros Environmental.
