ARKANSAS

Exxon Mobil and Tetra Technologies Inc. they plan to build a bromine production facility and a lithium brine extraction manufacturing facility along the Columbia-Lafayette county line. Tetra has recently introduced a bromine-based electrolyte for long-term energy storage. Bromine is also in demand as flame retardants for electric vehicles. The same saltwater brine that Tetra proposes to produce from its potential production field can also be used to produce lithium. Tetra plans to drill five brine supply wells in Columbia County, as well as five injection wells to send the brine back into the Smackover Formation once the bromine is extracted. FLORIDA

BluePearl Veterinary Partners LLC intends to build the Ybor Harbor Channel Waterfront Development on a 25- to 33-acre site in Tampa. Plans call for 20 buildings of varying heights, with the tallest based on Federal Aviation Authority limits, including up to 2,586 residential units, 140,400 square feet of general office space, 375 hotel rooms and 292,260 square feet of retail trade. The development will include a waterfront promenade lined with restaurants, shops, docks, boat links, floating docks and green spaces. The project is valued at $1.1 billion. OHIO

The Sherwin Williams Co. plans to build a second headquarters building and parking lot in Cleveland. The five-story, 250,000-square-foot building will be located on West 6th St. and W. OREGON

TNHC Oregon LLC plans to build the Panzer mixed-use development on a 26.6-acre site in Beaverton. It will have 533 residential units and approximately 17,736 square feet of commercial space. VERMONT

The Vermont Agency of Transportation plans to build the East-West Crossing project, a bicycle and pedestrian bridge over Interstate 89 at Exit 14 in South Burlington. A shared path will begin at Williston Road next to Staples Plaza and follow the southwest end of the interchange. A connection to a shared path that runs through the Quarry Hill neighborhood would link to the west end. The east terminal would be reached via a shared route near the Comfort Inn and CVS. Much of the funding for the project is provided from a $9.76 million RAISE grant from the US DOT. It is designed by Vanasse Hangen Brustlin along an already approved lineup. SOUTH CAROLINA

Robins & Morton has begun construction on Fifth Third Park minor league baseball stadium in Spartanburg. The 3,500-seat ballpark will include 12 premium suites, a 7,000-square-foot clubhouse and event space, concourse-level bleachers and an outfield berm in deep left field. The stadium was designed by Overland Partners Architects. Construction is expected to be completed in April 2025. The project is valued at $175 million. WYOMING

2/28 The US Army Corps of Engineers is seeking bids for the Cedar Rapids Reach 1 Cedar Lake South Railyard Floodwall Flood Risk Management Project. Work includes site demolition, clearing, grading, trenching, filling and grading, piling installation, embankment, H-pile concrete water walls, interior drainage, roadway elevations, installation of water mains, site restoration, bed stone placement and trimmings. All contractor access will be by barge. Construction is expected to begin in April 2024. The project is valued at $10 million to $25 million. ALABAMA

2/29 The Alabama State Port Authority solicits qualifications for AE/PM/CM services for the Choctaw Point Marine Terminal development in Mobile. The project will reuse approximately 43 acres of the existing McDuffie coal terminal adjacent to the existing container terminal. The project involves the demolition of all existing McDuffie Terminal infrastructure within the project boundaries and the subsequent construction of new ship berths and land yard area along the Mobile River.
