ENR Southeast is delighted to announce its 2024 Design Firm of the Year: Goodwyn Mills Cawood.
The Montgomery, Ala.-based company grew on paper and on the ground, completing its 18th and 19th acquisitions, opening a new office in Lutz, Fla., and growing its revenue by more than 30 % compared to the previous year.
With 24 offices in the Southeast, GMC’s 2023 worked on a number of notable projects throughout the region, including some of the company’s largest in their respective industries, including an $85 million healthcare facility in Georgia, as well as Alabama’s largest high school in Gulf Shores. The company was recently awarded the new Alabama Statehouse project as well as GMC’s largest single contract with the Alabama State Department of Corrections.

Last week, we previewed our rankings of the best design firms, showing which firms had completed the survey a few days before the initial April 1 deadline. But to give as many companies as possible a chance to participate, we’re moving that two-week deadline up to April 15th.
