The project, which includes two dormitories with apartment-like suites, is designed to encourage on-campus senior living by seamlessly integrating the features of independent apartment living with communal dormitories.
The project accommodates around 350 students in options of two, three and four rooms, each with its own bathroom.
The massive timber project has all-electric systems and relies on renewable energy sources to advance the university towards its goal of achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040. Design and construction techniques minimize environmental impact and maximize resource efficiency.

Designed for LEED Gold certification, the project features renewable building materials and on-site stormwater treatment systems.
Stormwater management incorporates biobasing and biofiltration basins, improving on-site water treatment and promoting ecological resilience. The project team says these measures benefit the university by reducing operating costs, improving occupant comfort and contributing to the wider community by mitigating environmental impact and promoting sustainable development practices.
