
The World Firm of Investment, Development and Management of Real Estate Hines presented Plans to build a 1,225 -foot tower on 77 Beale Street in the center of San Francisco.
If it is built, the tower would exceed the 1,070 -feet Salesforeler tower like the highest skyscraper in the city. It would be classified as the 11th highest tower in the United States and the highest in New York and Chicago.
Located in a place that formerly belonged to Utility Pacific Gas & Electric, the tower would be part of a mixed use development that would encompass a city block and include 1.6 million square meters of class A offices space, 120 residential units, as well as a retail retail sale and space.
Hines bought property for $ 800 million and it is estimated that the global project will cost more than $ 2 billion. The company has not announced the selection of a designer. It is expected that the process of revision and development of the environment will be between 12 and 24 months.
If the project continues, Hines estimates that construction could begin in 2027, with an end aimed at the early 2030’s.
