
A sub-construction road bridge partially collapsed in South Korea on February 25, killing four workers and injuring six more people. The cause was not clear immediately.
Officials of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation said that the collapse took place at 9:49 am in section 9 of Sejong-anara Expressway, near Cheonan, about 50 kilometers south of Seoul. .
Officials said that Girder’s launch teams fell as workers would move it. The photos show bundles that fell five pillars. The beams were 50 meters long, according to the Yonhap News Agency.

The contractor Hyundai Engineering Co. and the subcontractor Jangheon Industry worked on the Korea Expressway Corp., according to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
In a statement, Hyundai Engineering apologized for the deaths and injuries. The contractor added that he collaborates with the Authorities for Research.
The bridge must be part of the 122 km Sejong-Pocheon road. Anseong’s first section in Guri, opened in January. This second section was scheduled to end by the end of next year.
