A joint venture between New York City-based Turner Construction and local contractor DA Everett Construction Group will do it update the Spectrum Centerhome of the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets, Turner announced in a press release.
The project will renovate the 19-year-old building over the next two NBA offseasons, starting in May and finishing before the 2025-26 season begins.
This year’s works will include modifications to the flow of traffic in the stadium, the addition of a fourth pike on the ground floor of the rink, the relocation of two clubs, the addition of a new club on the side of the rink and the renovation of the entire suite level.
During the 2025 offseason, the project team will renovate the main concourse, add 2,500 lower level seats, replace all existing seats in the arena bowl and renovate the stadium’s Founders Level.
In addition, DA Everett, based in Turner and Raleigh, North Carolina, will provide behind-the-scenes updates for media, crews and entertainment at the Spectrum Center.
