ENR California is pleased to announce the winners of its 2024 Best Projects Excellence in Safety and Excellence in Sustainability competitions.
Recipients were selected by an independent panel of AEC experts who reviewed 22 projects in the safety competition and 24 projects in the sustainability competition. The ENR California competition is divided into two regions; North and South
Judges for 2024 Excellence in security Matt Jones, vice president of environmental health and safety, Perini tutor; and Alan Hayes, Director of Safety – California, JTM Construction Group.
For the 2024 Excellence in Sustainability competition, the judges were Erin McConahey, director, Arup; and Celia Hoag, Sustainability Leader – Southwest, DPR Construction.
As always, to avoid conflicts of interest, the judges did not score any category in which their companies submitted proposals and refrained from scoring projects in which they had any involvement.
All winning project teams from this year’s competition, as well as Owner of the Year, Design Firm of the Year, Contractor of the Year, Specialty Contractor of the Year and the winners of the Legacy Award, will be recognized at a pair of awards events in October. .
