Danville, Pennsylvania, the Healthcare Geisinger Consortium has broken its project of expansion and modernization in the Geisinger Medical Center of Danville. News of May 13.

Architect based in Philadelphia Ewingcole and the general contractor of Baltimore Whiting-Turner are designing and building the projectAccording to a statement from Ewingcole. The $ 880 million project includes the modernization of the Hospital Campus and the Emergency Service in particular, according to the statement.

The central piece of expansion is the construction of an 11 -story tower near the front of the hospital, which will have a new larger emergency room that will double the square footage of the current space and increase the number of beds from 45 to 60.
