Construction news recognized the industry’s outstanding achievements at its Workforce Awards gala at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House on London’s Park Lane.
The Workforce Awards celebrate individuals and organizations that strive to make construction a great industry to work in. The categories showed both individual and organizational initiatives to improve work practices.
The night brought together the brightest talent in the workplace and recognized those making a difference in recruitment, staff development, wellbeing, diversity, inclusion and more.
Winners were recognized in 18 categories, and the chosen companies impressed a jury of 26 judges.
More than 400 people attended the ceremony, which was led by CN sub editor Ben Vogel.
“We can all take inspiration from the way people and organizations in the construction industry have responded to another tough year with innovation, determination and a can-do spirit that has always marked the sector as special” , Vogel said.
The big winner of the night was VolkerRail with three trophies: best contractor
work for; excellence in learning and development; and health and safety initiative of the year.
In addition, the Hochtief-Murphy joint venture teams were recognized for their work on the Earth Friendly Concrete Initiative and Phase 2 of the London Power Tunnels.
