GEORGE TOWN: One man died and three others were injured after the car they were traveling in skidded and collided with a backhoe along the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway near Bukit Dumbar in the early hours of Sunday (9 June).
A spokesman for the Penang Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) operations center said the deceased was a 28-year-old man who died at the scene after being trapped behind the passenger seat.

“Two men suffered minor injuries, and a woman suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital, while another man who was sitting behind the passenger seat was pinned down and pronounced dead at the scene by the Ministry of Health medical team,” he told the medical team. a statement on Sunday (June 9).
Firefighters removed the victim’s body using special equipment within 15 minutes before it was sent to Penang Hospital for an autopsy. – Bernama
