ENR Texas & Louisiana is in the final stages of our annual survey of prime contractors, awaiting the final submissions for our annual rankings, which are published in our July 22 print edition. While we can’t reveal this year’s upcoming ranking, which covers construction work done in the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Texas, we can share that survey information reveals that 2023 was a year of growth for regional contractors.

Our still-unfinished data from this year’s survey shows that participating contractors collectively reported about $45.8 billion in revenue in 2023, up from the roughly $38.6 billion they reported in the ranking from last year

Readers will have to wait to see which companies posted the biggest increases and if the top of the rankings will be shuffled. For now, see below for an alphabetical list of respondents to our 2024 Prime Contractor Survey.

First, also included in the July print edition of ENR Texas & Louisiana is our profile of this year’s Contractor of the Year, New Orleans-based RNGD, which won the Project of the year last year of the ENR Texas & Louisiana Best Projects competition. .

Scoot Judy

Scott Judy is deputy editor of Regions and publisher of ENR Southeast, one of the 10 regional publications of the Engineering News-Record. His roughly 27 years as a construction journalist began with an 11-year stint covering Midwest construction projects. In 2000, Judy helped launch the publication now known as ENR Southeast. He often delves into controversial aspects of the construction industry, such as bankruptcies and fatal accidents, and wishes he never had to cover another accident, but suspects he will.
