MGC Pure Chemicals America Inc. plans to expand its chemical plant in Mesa. The scope of the AZ4 project includes the construction of a building, a motorway station and equipment foundations; purchase and installation of process vessels, distillation and extraction columns, reactors and equipment for air compression, oxidation, separation, filtration, flow control and isotainer filling; and purchase of elevators. Gray has been selected to provide EPC services for the project. Construction is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2024. MGC Pure Chemicals America, a subsidiary of Tokyo, Japan-based Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Co., produces ammonium hydroxide and hydrogen peroxide for the semiconductor industry . NEBRASKA
Noah’s Ark Processors LLC, doing business as WR Reserve, plans to expand its 82,000-square-foot meatpacking plant in Hastings. The scope of the project includes the demolition of a wastewater treatment building; design and construction of a wastewater pretreatment facility, 11,000 square feet of precast concrete tilt buildings for an electrical/engine house, a hot box, cropland, an air compressor house and a foot cooler addition; and purchase and installation of conveyors, magnetic flow meters, rotary screens and equipment for cutting, evisceration, processing, chilling, chilling and wastewater treatment. Gleeson Constructors & Engineers LLC provided preliminary engineering services and has been selected to provide design and construction services for the project. VIRGINIA
Speyside Bourbon Cooperage Inc. plans to build a nozzle mill in the Brosville Industrial Park in Pittsylvania County. The scope of the project includes the construction of a building; and the purchase and installation of conveyors and debarking, sawing, canting, planing, milling and dust collection equipment. Dewberry has been selected to provide design services. Construction is expected to begin in mid-2025. Speyside will use the plant to produce white oak staves and barrel heads to supply its bourbon barrel cooperage to Atkins. The estimated cost of the EPC is $16.9 million.
