vice president

Rosendin

The Arizona market, and especially the Phoenix area, has become a focal point for Rosendin of late, with the Valley of the Sun serving as the company’s unofficial Southwest hub as the electrical contractor takes advantage of the enormous growth of the regional market.

“Historically, Phoenix has been quite focused on semiconductors or hospitality,” says Stephens. “Moving forward, looking to 2025 and beyond, it still seems [there is plenty of momentum in those markets] to keep things moving for a while.”

While total construction declined in 2024, it is projected to increase from about $25 billion to nearly $29 billion in 2025. Residential construction will continue to rise to accommodate population growth and the sector is expected to surpass 2022 levels.

Stephens says that while there are some big projects on the way across the state of Arizona, “probably the biggest change in the market has been that a lot of the Tier 1 customers have started building here in the valley; it’s has really been a game changer in terms of the amount of work,” he adds.
