$500 million expansion underway at Missouri theme park

Silver Dollar City, a theme park located in the Ozark Mountains in Branson, Missouri, will invest $500 million over the next decade in new construction and improvements, according to a report. Announcement of October 17. The park did not disclose the name of the builder.

The new resort will be located near the company’s other family attractions, including White Water Water Park, Showboat Dinner Cruises, Pink Jeep Adventure Tours and Silver Dollar City Campground.

“Over the next decade, we will thoughtfully transform 1,200 acres into a true Ozarks-only destination starting with our first resort,” Brad Thomas, president of Silver Dollar City Parks & Resorts, said in the release.

This isn’t the only tourism project underway in the Ozarks. In Osage Beach, Missouri, a team of companies based in St. Louis SkyView Partners and Tegethoff Development, along with a general contractor Brinkmann Constructors, broke ground in May on Oasis at Lakeport, a $400 million resort and family entertainment complex, according to a news release.

The first phase of the Oasis at Lakeport, which includes construction of rides and attractions, restaurants and a marina, is scheduled to open in the summer of 2025. The second phase, which will open in the fall of 2026, will feature a 402-room, indoor Marriott Resort and Conference Center. water park
