After an effort for a year that began with more than 800 tickets, Enr has selected a trio of challenging and impressive projects as finalists of the project of the year for the best competition of 2024 Enr.

Earlier this month, the 20 winners in the BOTB category were announced, selected by several rounds of judges. Industry expert panels poured over hundreds of national entrances presented by project teams and evaluated them based on their impact on the community, improved construction industry practices, design innovation , safety and quality of work.

From a list provided by the judges, ENR publishers examined each project, considered additional sources for new details, and selected the following three projects as finalists in the “Best in the Program” Award:

In alphabetical order, they are:

  • County of San Diego Southeastern Live Well Center, located in San Diego. Originally sent by PCL Construction to Enr California in the category of Government/Public Building.
  • Light railway traffic of phase II of phase II of the north -west, located in Phoenix. Originally sent to South West in the Airport/Port category by Kiewit-Mccarthy, a joint company (KMJV).
  • Replacement of tower elevators and diverse rehabilitation at Marine Parkway-Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge (MP-09), located in Brooklyn, NY Originally sent by Kiewit Infraestructure Co. to Enr New York in the road/bridge category.

The finalists, as well as all the winning projects in the category and the recognition of the judges, will be more depth in the print number of March 17, which will also reveal the project of the year.

ENR will celebrate these projects and their teams in a Brunch in Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers in New York City on March 27, as well as in the magazine 60th An annual gala prize of excellence that will also highlight the 25 best GARD journalists and the winner of the Prize for Excellence.

In the spring, ENR will call for entries for the regional competition of better regional projects in the United States. For more information, visit last year’s entry page at www.enr.com/bestprojects.

The input dates and eligibility will be updated once the call for the tickets will be live.
