Polycam’s 3D 3D scan application uses the camera on board the device to capture explorations of objects such as shoes and interior figurines in the full room, completed with details such as furniture and cabinet makers, as well as exterior structures. The latest version of the application, announced on February 26, includes a series of tools aimed at AEC professionals.

Called Vision 25, “they are more than incremental updates: they are a rethinking of how 3D creation can solve real world challenges,” said co -founder and CEO of Polycam, Elliot Spelman, in a launch. The three main tools updates include functions that allow users to create plans from captured images, bring together several catches to map a space and then share the results collaboratively.

Space mode requires an iOS device with LIDAR capabilities (pro -versions of the iPhone 12 and subsequent and some versions of iPad Pro) and, in a single capture, can be generated: a detailed and complete 3D model; A vectorized version of the model with automatically labeled items and objects such as walls, chairs and windows; or a scored 2D flats plan.

The stage publisher is for larger projects, according to Polycam. Following individual 3D catches “Helps equipment to visualize scale spaces, either by combining land of a building or mounting designs for complex designs,” said the company.

The feature of the AI -based space report can calculate measures such as room dimensions, volume and wall area up to 2% accuracy, according to Spelman and co -founder Chris Heinrich. Polycam’s Pro Tier is available as a monthly subscription of $ 26.99 or $ 149.99 a year. It also plans to introduce a business level.
