
Morocco has expanded $ 1.55 million from its Mohammed flagship airport against Casablanca, scheduled for the end of 2030 in the 2030 World Cup to be jointly welcomed by Morocco, Spain and Portugal.
According to the Airport Authority (Onda), the project will include the construction of a new H. H. In addition, the plans ask for a new parallel track of 3,700 meters with associated taxis, extensive planes parking facilities and a new control tower 42 m high. The construction offers are expected to be issued in the coming months, according to officials.
The planned expansion will allow passenger capacity to 20 million passengers per year, tripling the capacity of the existing airport.
The terminal will also have a connection to the national high -speed railway that is currently expanding. With five stations, the 430-kilometer Kenitra-Marrakech high-speed line is scheduled for its completion in 2029. A French-Moroccan Consortium led by EGIS, with Systra and NovEC, has been touched as an assistance contractor for projects management by the National Railway Office of Morocco (ONCF).
