Balfour Beatty, based in London, received a contract of $ 889 million to rebuild part of Intersate 30 at Dallas County, Texas, for the state’s dowry, the contractor announced on April 24.

As part of the contract, Balfour Beatty will rebuild a 2.3 mile section from the route to the east side of the county. It will also increase the number of general purpose lanes from six to 12 to improve congestion and connectivity throughout the city.

In addition, the company will build nine crossings that will link the I-30 to the South Gate, the I-35e Lower Stempmons and the Dallas Horseshoe, all the Balfour Beatty projects previously delivered for Texas Dot.

The project follows another great Texas contract, Balfour Beatty won: the $ 746 million I-35 Reconstruction In a 2.5 miles section of the road on the south side of the center of Austin.

“With decades of experience in executing complex road projects in Dallas and an in -depth comprehension of the region’s infrastructure, we are exclusively positioned to offer these essential improvements,” said Leo Quinn, CEO of Balfour Beatty, in the statement.

The pre -construction will begin in 2026 and it is estimated that the work will last five years until the end, according to the launch.
