The tender is underway for the initial phase of the $ 1.6 million terminal modernization program of $ 1.6 million from Cleveland Hopkins.

With this project, which will open in 2026, an existing surface area will become the place for a new $ 301 million garage that will provide up to 6,000 spaces and incorporate a land transport center, a pedestrian access tunnel and a station for the light railway system in Cleveland.
A design design contract, the new garage is expected to open in 2029, allowing the demolition of a smaller and smaller garage and the construction of the new terminal that the airport says will “evolve into the new Cle modernized door”.
According to local media, the new terminal will have larger areas for check-in, security screening and luggage claim. The plan also calls for a new network of access roads, connections to the three active competitions from the airport and eventual demolition of the building and the existing terminal roads.
The airport has received the approval of the city to obtain offers to hire a program management team to supervise and coordinate the Terminal project, although no program has been announced for this contract.
The TMDP, which began last year with the demolition of a hotel locked in the establishment, is based on the Master Plan of the 2021 airport that contributes needs to the ground and aerial part.
