A 23-year-old service worker died on June 30 after being run over by an excavator while working on a $ 45 million Michigan transport project in Brighton, Mich., Southeast of Michigan.

Ryan Starnes, employed by the Prime contractor, Dan excavated Inc. From Shelby Township, Mich. The incident occurred at about 15.15

Starnes, from St. Clair Shores, Mich., He was transported to Michigan University Hospital to Ann Arbor, Mich.

The Grand River Avenue project, near Interstate 96, is to reconstruct the exchange as an exchange of divergent diamonds and eliminate two interstate bridges of 96 on Avenida Grand River.

In a brief description of his website, the Health and Health Administration at Michigan (Miosha) said that Starnes was “between the bucket of a large excavator and a concrete structure. The bucket was supported on the ground. The excavator’s operator did not see the employee and moved the bucket and hit the victim.”

Miosha continues to investigate the incident.

“The accident is still under investigation, so we cannot add information,” said Justin Peyerk, President of Dan’s excavation. “All we can say is that we offer our thoughts and sentences.”

Jeff Bigelow, Great Lakes Engineering Group, project engineer, also offered condolences.

“Our thoughts and prayers go to the family. It was a horrible and horrible accident,” he said.

Peyerk confirmed that Dan’s excavation also employs the Starne’s uncle and grandfather, who, according to local news, were at the scene when the accident took place.

MDOT spokeswoman Joclyn Garza said that the agency cannot comment on the details of what happened, but added that “a maximum priority in our department has always been maintaining safe work areas, for road workers and the traveling audience.”

In another fatal incident, a worker died on July 2 after he was hit by a truck in a Detroit building, according to Miosha, who says that “a concrete mix truck supported by the 47 -year -old and fixed it between the vehicle and a tank.”

Miosha is also investigating the incident, but did not identify the person or have additional information.

GOFUNDME FUNDS FOR STARNES has been created.
