Govplanet: The Government Auction Auction Site and the Materials Auctioner, Ritchie Bros., said that it intends to return to the Federal Government’s construction materials, valued between $ 260 and $ 350 million, which were originally destined for a planned US-Mail border wall, but which was a surplus by Biden’s administration.

An unnamed third -party company that has been hired for the construction of walls will receive the materials for the next 90 days, according to an agreement of August 8 between Govplanet and the Tsar border office in the National Security Department.

Govplanet did not reveal the name of the contractor, but the wall projects in both Texas and California have been under construction since April by contractors Granite Construction, the joint company Barnard/Spencer, Fisher Sand & Gravel, SLS CO. and the joint company BCCG.

Steel tubes, balls and concrete materials were purchased during the first Trump administration for the construction of the border wall, but it was not used. Alejandro Mayorkas, the previous head of administration security, sought to sell the materials through Govplanet in August 2024, but was atmoscled by an order of a Federal Judge of Texas that must be used for the construction of border walls, as Congress approved funds for this purpose.

By 2023, the administration of Biden said that it would restore the construction of the border wall, but the real work was never resumed, with materials transferred to places of Govplanet de Arizona and New Mexico. Federal officials said that the conversations restarted the auction house in January to obtain the materials. Although up to $ 350 million were evaluated when purchased in 2017, neither the auction house nor national security could confirm if their current condition is appropriate for the new construction.

“We are pleased to have collaborated with the Office of the Office of the Frontera and the members of the Administration of President Trump to return the materials from the border wall at the cost, helping to protect the millions of dollars that North -Americans had already invested in this initiative,” said Govplanet’s representative in a statement. “We are accelerating the transfer of these materials to support … border protection plans. We value our long -term collaboration with the United States government … We continue to support the federal agencies of America.”
