There are multiple strategies that have strengthened the concord, based on California, Swinerton, Swinerton, in recent years, helping their regional income to rise almost a thousand dollars year after year to reach $ 3.8 billion in 2024. Among them they have a diverse diverse projects portfolio and offer specialized market experts, which were combined to send the firm to the list number 1 Annual of the Top Contractors List for the West West Region.
Efforts and success have been honored by Swinerton Enr West Southern California of the year.
“Construction is a delayed industry, so the jobs we launched by 2024 would have won by 2022 or 2023. But it has really been a marketed diversity strategy,” says David Camp, director of Socal Education Markets. “So when a market slows down, we do not try to enter a new market, we are already there and we are ready to take advantage of the expanding markets, such as the projects of public works that occur now.”
In recent years, the contractor has focused on public works projects along the west coast and building its corral of market experts in each geographical division to increase its presence in key sectors such as education, aviation and health care.
The focus on the creation and maintenance of strong relationships has also paid off, with about 75% of their work from repeated customers.
“Because interest rates were higher over the last two years, private markets were slowed down, so you don’t see so many high rises, but the public market has increased significantly,” says CRAM. “So airports, libraries, civic projects and schools. There were many good people in California in the last November election; I think $ 40 billion only in California for the K-12.”
With the rapid 2028 Olympic Games, many of the region’s airports are on the upgrade path, as are state hospitals, which compete to meet the new earthquake requirements in mid -2016.
“Our teams have done enormous work to achieve notable and completely funded projects in the sectors of aviation, education, health, public, civic and interior,” adds Lia Tatevosian, senior vice president and manager of the South California and Hawaii region.
Some recent main projects in South California include the county of Orange Civic Center, a 250,000 square meter project delivered under a P3 model and the Campus of $ 225 million Compon High School, a center of 223,650 square meters with a gym building of 36,000 square feet and a center of 41,000 square meters.
“I am proud of all our victories, but especially excited with our intentional efforts to achieve and offer collaborative design projects such as the State University of San Diego evolve student housing, Long Beach City College Libreal Arts Housing Campus and Chaffey College Library Commons,” adds Tatevosian.
Among the projects that were completed in 2025 were the reforms of the Long Beach airport terminal and Riverside County, Riverside Franklin Adults Residential Facility, in which Dr. Matthew Chang, Health Health Director at Riverside-Behavioral Health University, said Swinerton’s commitment to the principles of fundamental design, the flexibility and the basis. In solutions.
“The whole team operated with exceptional confidence, transparency and communication, even when Riverside’s county requested to accelerate the time line,” recalls Chang. “The team accommodated our needs and promoted the project calendar one month, allowing us to achieve our employment goals. That’s why we are very grateful.”
I am proud of all our victories, but especially excited by our intentional efforts to achieve and offer collaborative design design projects. “”

Swinerton’s regional rise has also coincided with his recent massive wood investments, among other sustainable innovation initiatives that include electric vehicle programs and carbon sequencing projects, according to Tatevosian. The firm is helping customers to use massive wood to offer projects faster and with a lower cost and environmental impact compared to traditional concrete and steel through its full -service mass of service, manufacturing and affiliated construction in Timberlab. This has allowed Swinerton to expand the supply chain for massive wood, both regional and national, and continues to expand these offers.
The headquarters of the Orange County Sanitation District, recently named the best government/building in the Best Projects Contest of Enr West, is the largest mass wood project than Swinerton has completed in southern California so far. This three-story office building, 109,000 square meters, is designed to achieve Energy Certification Leed Gold and Net-Zero.
Another differentiating is the Swinerton Autonomous Work, which executes various trades from concrete to dry wall, factories, hardware specialties and demolition.
To keep these ranks full, the company regularly recruits local community colleges to encourage young people to enter shops as soon as possible. The firm is also developing its labor force through operations with a dedicated training program that is sending to the leader in the management, according to CRAM.
“We also have a great outreach program for inmates. In the south of California, we had 50 inmates alone, which is fantastic,” he adds. “Making people know Swinerton and let us know that the internship population is really useful. It is very competitive, but that helps a lot.”
CRAMP believes that Swinerton’s largest key is owned by 100% of employees. “We have been this way for more than 30 years, and people really motivate to take possession of the company and the work they do, and so they are people,” he says. “We are a service organization and there are many things that can be said [about that]But we have a great culture that values both our employees and our customers. “”
