
Officials have broken land at a North Dakota state hospital in North Dakota with Mortenson as responsible for the construction of the planned project to replace the existing hospital, which has been in operation since 1885.
Other companies involved in the Hospital of 316,000 square meters of Jamestown, ND, which is located in the southeastern part of the State, halfway between Bismarck and Fargo, ND-Inclou Architecture+ as design consultants, JLG Architects as the main architect and group of Tegra, exercising the representative of the owner.
The Behavioral Health Hospital will have 140 beds and provide hospital acute psychiatric care, substance abuse treatment, intermediate psychosocial rehabilitation, forensic evaluations and security network services.
The development of the hospital included hospital leadership, staff and community members who were part of teams that shared their knowledge, articulated their goals and contributed to a hospital vision.

In addition to the hospitalized habitable spaces, the installation will include therapeutic, clinical and evaluation spaces for patient care, as well as the spaces for hospital administration and facilities management, the Department of Health Status and Human Services Reports.
“The new installation will use a modernized care environment and is organized throughout a home-based model of home.
The “House-Neighborhood-Downtown” model is a design philosophy that organizes patients’ units in different and small areas to create a more personalized and less institutional environment.
The Hospital also plans to include an arts room, botanical garden, chapel, computer laboratories, exercises/fitness room, cafeteria, multipurpose space, library, music room, physical and occupational therapy, sensory room, rehabilitation apartment, kitchen and professional space.
The completion of the hospital, which is being built in front of the current hospital, is expected by 2027.
