The Macallan Construction Project team transformed one of the last two remaining urban horses parks in the United States. The scope of the project included extensive renewals in existing facilities and the addition of several new structures to meet the demands of increasing programs.
The work included the construction of a therapeutic cavalry center, two new covered sands, a community boarding bar and a manager to support staff operations on the site.
At the beginning of the project, only two of the eight planned components of the project were designed. In the meantime, funding was insufficient to fully execute vision. Macallan Construction was commissioned by Valor Engineering the design to align with resources, retaining essential programmatic elements.
As the construction of the first barn began, the owner achieved additional funding beyond the original projections. This allowed the team to reflect to expand the scope of the project while the program was completed for the remaining buildings.
Ultimately, the three -year project was delivered below the budget and the calendar.
