The new elementary school was designed with 31 adaptable learning environments to support interdisciplinary collaboration and evolve pedagogical approaches. In the heart of the school there is a learning that is surrounded by flexible collaboration spaces and sliding glass walls.
From the concept to the completion, the design team used Autodesk Revit and EMCEE to develop a completely coordinated and shock -detected digital model. The immersive 3D model integrated all the construction systems and allowed the interested parties to go through the building virtually, to evaluate the finishes and understand spatial relationships before the start of construction. Systems and disposition were developed by analyzing the cost of the life cycle. It emphasized the long -term efficiency and operational durability.
The drying was delayed due to a work strike that affected the supply of mineral wool. The team obtained material from other projects and met with the manufacturer in Detroit to secure the post -strike material. The two -year project was completed in the budget and the calendar without registered incidents of the OSHA and without lost accidents.
