NASC appoints new executive director

The National Access and Scaffolding Confederation (NASC) has appointed Clive Dickin as its new Chief Executive.

Dickin was commercial director of the Institute of Export and International Trade from 2021 until March 2023. He held the same role at the National Federation of Builders from 2018 to 2021.

His other previous roles include being national director of the Air Ambulance Association and executive director of the Plumbing and Heating Contractors Association.

Dickin’s appointment means that NASC’s current acting managing director, Dave Mosley, will return to his role as CEO of the Construction Industry Scaffolding Registration Scheme (CISRS) and Director of Training for the BORN

Dickin said: “I’m interested in starting to build the story of how people can – and should – join NASC and show that it is a progressive, open and supportive membership. [organisation] that can really help scaffolding and access contractors.”

NASC President David Brown said: “Clive’s experience and personality shone through during the recruitment process. With Clive’s excellent leadership skills, the NASC will be in good hands as we move forward “.

NASC is the UK’s national trade body for access and scaffolding, working on behalf of over 500 contractors, suppliers and manufacturers.
